Julianne Crothers shares her remarkable journey from a successful career to life-changing disability after a reckless driver collided with her causing a stroke that left her registered blind with hearing loss. She reflects on recovery, family, and the support that helped her regain independence before dedicating herself to disability advocacy. Now she campaigns for free public transport for disabled people in Northern Ireland and raises awareness of Charles Bonnet Syndrome, showing how resilience and determination can transform personal tragedy into meaningful social change.

Madge Davison tells the story of one of the most influential yet least widely recognised figures of the Northern Ireland civil rights movement.

Madge Davison tells the story of one of the most influential yet least widely recognised figures of the Northern Ireland civil rights movement. Through the memories of family, friends, colleagues and fellow campaigners, this intimate documentary traces Madge Davison’s extraordinary journey from working-class Belfast to becoming a fearless civil rights organiser, feminist, barrister and champion for social justice.

At the heart of some of the most turbulent moments of the late 1960s and 1970s, Madge played a pivotal role behind the scenes – organising marches, documenting abuses, supporting communities under pressure and providing unwavering leadership within the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association. Later, as a barrister, she dedicated her legal expertise to supporting women, survivors of abuse and those most in need, often working quietly and without recognition.

Rich with personal anecdotes, humour and affection, the film reveals not only a courageous activist but also a devoted mother, gardener, cook and friend whose compassion matched her determination. More than a biography, Madge Davison is a celebration of a remarkable woman whose legacy continues to inspire generations committed to equality, human rights and social change.

Peter Osborne (former Chair of the Community Relations Council) and Bosnian War survivor Safet Vukalić discuss the Srebrenica genocide, the methods used by those in power to sow mistrust within multi-faith communities and turn neighbours against one another, as well as the inadequacy of the international community’s response to the conflict. Edwin Graham (from the Interfaith Forum) and Ed Peterson (of Clonard Monastery and the Board of Remembering Srebrenica NI) round out the conversation by exploring the ways in which interfaith relations can be mended and nurtured, both at home and abroad.
