Running from October 2025 to October 2026, this strategic initiative pairs Northern Visions Limited with rising talent Eamonn Higgins for an immersive, year-long Trainee Assistant Producer Scheme.

This programme of work is far more than a standard internship; it is a high-octane launchpad into the professional television industry. Northern Visions Limited, an independent production house renowned for its cross-language storytelling, is delivering a comprehensive, hands-on masterclass in modern TV production. Under the wing of seasoned industry professionals, Eamonn will bridge the gap between creative vision and technical execution.

The curriculum is rigorous, holistic, and deeply practical. Eamonn will master crucial technical skills – including camera operations, professional sound recording, and non-linear editing – while shadowing industry veterans to learn the nuances of development, production coordination, and post-production management. Structured mentoring sessions and real-time feedback loops ensure that his technical instincts are sharpened alongside his creative ones.

Ultimately, the programme is driven by a singular, ambitious objective: to take an original concept from the drawing board to the television screen. Northern Visions will guide Eamonn through pitching a development proposal directly to the ILBF. If greenlit, he will step into the director’s chair to produce, polish, and deliver a broadcast-standard Irish language film (complete with subtitles) ready for the screen.
